Kids grows so fast

As a single mom raising a 7 year old daughter and a 8 year old nephew, things can be better or worst. For instance, my daughter Maria never gets into trouble in school, comes home ready to do homework, and rather plays educational games on the computer. My nephew Carlos has alot of imagination but he lacks the discipline, meaning he doesn't listen when grown ups tell him what to do. Yep, he's a rebel. Mom and Dad tried to figure out why his behavior is like that, but I know why. Since his mom and sister passed away 3 years ago, and his dad and brother-in-law is locked up and getting out next summer, means that he can do whatever he wants to do. If he was my son and he acts like that, he send his butt to military school.
